Topsy Turvy Me

{January 15, 2008}   January

So here we are begining another New Year filled with wants and desires to be better people lose our bad habits and be happier, richer, or sexier for the rest of our lives. My hopes for this year are to learn more about myself while spending more time with my family. I want to learn to improve my patience and keep a cool head in complicated situations. Be less of a gossip and more of a friend. If it were just the changing of a year that could make people better I would have an endless list of things I would like to improve. As of today I have quit smoking for a week and quit drinking since the first of the year. Now unless you come from a long line of alcoholics you would not appreciate what it takes to give up alcohol even if for only a two week period. I think about it every day but with amazing family and friend support system I know that I will be fine and be able to continue with my goals.

My youngest child just had her third birthday. I was so filled with joy watching her open her gifts and having her friends over but in the same breath it was so sad knowing that she is my last child and this is the last 3rd birthday I will get to share with herĀ  and that makes me sad. Even though I dread each birthday it was a nice party. The neighbors came and celebrated with her Diego theme and then they left so that I could have an evening with two of my girlfriends playing Halo. It was nice.

Speaking of neighbors I have already managed to piss off the new ones even though I have not even met them yet. First let me explain there are 18 units and each unit has an assigned cover parking space. Then there are 10 unassigned spaces that are for guests and extra vehicles. Now of the 18 units there are 7 empty units so that means there are 17 extra spaces. Well out front of my house there is one uncovered space that my new neighbors normally park in. Right next to it are to covered parking spaces. Well come to find out I apparently offended the new neighbors because my guest was parked in my space and I was in the extra space that they like to use. They have also taken it upon themselves to turn me in for my carport because I have to much stuff in there. I am a mother of three and have three bikes, two cars (tykes) outside chairs, and the cardboard boxes that I set out for recycling. I admit it is cluttered but that is what happens when you have so much outside stuff in a rainy state and its winter. Its all good I am going to just make sure to stay on top of my recycling and not leave any mess that they may be offended by. I guess that is what you get for living in a small community with people who are uppity and think they are better.

Onto other news my sister is employed which is huge for her because she has been stressed out about having a job for a while so I want to send a huge CONGRATS out to her…. right now I have to go the boys made me mac and cheese for dinner….
